

She Saga IIIt had been years. Where had the time gone? She stood with Her feet planted firmly together as She stared at Him, struggling. When had He grown up? This wasn't that little boy She remembered from years before. This boy was...He was...well, to use LeAnn's words, "HOT!" But what was She doing? Just last week, She liked a different boy entirely. Lucifer 4The street was dark and an icy wind sliced through the alley behind their apartment complex like a doctor’s scalpel. Lucifer shivered, cursing himself for not using some of the gold to buy a cloak for winter, as he tip-toed down the street. He decided to go to the clothier in the morning, if he was still alive. It was odd. The streets were abnormally quiet that night, and he found himself jumping at every little sound: the skittering of rats in the alleyways, the trickling of water in the storm drains, a cough from an open shack, and the crackling of the fire barrels that lit his way and afforded him some warmth. Lucifer 3It was cold. Bone chillingly cold. The steady drip, drip, drip of water resonated off the walls of the dark, dank room. Where was he? He groaned as he lifted his head to survey his surroundings. It was so difficult to see in the light of the lone candle that sat on a stand by the massive, wooden door. A cage. Cold and unfeeling iron surrounded him. The heavy, musty odor of mold and decaying straw filled his nostrils. A shudder vibrated through his body. He wasn’t here. Not again. He had escaped! This wasn’t real! Jingling metal… Keys ringing solemnly through the hall outside the door. &nbsLucifer 3


Lucifer 2After that day, it was months before he saw him again. Usually, higher angels had no reason to enter the outer-city and associate with the dying and impoverished masses. That was considered a job for the lower Archangels, those angels blessed with a home within the inner-city yet not having achieved an actual rank within the echelons of the angelic hierarchy. Lucifer wondered if maybe he had simply been a noble with an abnormal desire to interact with those below him. Perhaps, he had a superiority complex and enjoyed gloating over the fact that he had more than Lucifer, though he doubted it. His eyes had been much too kind, and his touch, whiLucifer 2
